tMESHtower After firmware installation, it can be used as a repeater-type communicator
for transmitting text messages in the following protocols:

MeshCore
Meshtastic

tMESHtower is used to extend the range - repeaters connect to each other in a mesh network
and forward the message to the designated recipient.
Thanks to its very high sensitivity, LoRa allows communication with other devices
or repeaters several kilometers away (in (depending on terrain obstacles)
from very low transmitting power, comparable to WiFi.
More information about communication can be found in the links to the mentioned protocols.
The device has an energy-saving nRF52840 processor and a LoRa SX1262 modem.
Thanks to the photovoltaic panel and MPPT battery charging system,
it is able to operate completely without an external power source. This is necessary
if the target device is to be used in crisis situations or in undeveloped, wild areas.
The housing is printed from strong material, resistant to UV radiation and weather conditions.

Maximum radio power                  - 27dBm - Permissible ERP power -  500mW for the 869.4-869.65 range and 10% duty cycle;
Radio module sensitivity              -  up to -146dBm, depending on the transmission parameters;
Antenna  LoRa                                - PIFA type integrated on the board,
Antenna parameters                      - gain up to 2dBi, bandwidth 2MHz, center frequency 869MHz, VSWR < 2
Bluetooth antenna                         - ceramic built-in - range of several meters;
Connectors                                     - USB-C;
Power                                              - 2.5V-4.1V - basket for 2 batteries size 18650 (LiIon 3.7V);
                                                         - PV panel 5.5V 250mA, built-in MPPT charger matched to the panel;
Current consumption                    - 12mA
Charging current and voltage measurement - YES - integrated INA219 systembuilt-in BMS, cut-off below 2.5V;
Dimensions (without PVpanel)   - 82x82x22mm;
Weight (without battery)              - 160g;
Mounting                                        - 4 x N42 magnets, total strength of approximately 15kg, a holder for hanging from a drone.

The base module is best attached to a solid,
metal  roof flashing with a horizontal arrangement.
If possible, the PV panel should be close to the edge of the roof to prevent snow accumulation.
Facing south.

The platform is designed for transport by drone,
it has 2 handles with holes for attaching a rope.

Due to the strong tuning of the antenna from the external housing,
use the assembled set!

Firmware suitable for the model:
Meshcore - ProMicro nrf52 (faketec)
Mestastic - NRF52 Pro-micro DIY
Uploading the selected firmware can be done directly from the browser via the USB-C interface.
A cable with angled connector.

LEGAL NOTICE:

The device is a development platform intended for experimental, educational, and integration applications. The manufacturer does not provide firmware that implements the user's final radio function.
The board only contains a bootloader that allows for firmware flashing via the USB-C interface.
Firmware installation (e.g., Meshtastic, MeshCore, or other open-source projects) is solely
the user's responsibility.
After flashing one of the mentioned firmwares, the user is required to set the radio
according to the country of residence; in Europe, this is the EU range.

The user is responsible for:

  • compliance of the radio configuration with local regulations,
  • transmission power,
  • channel occupancy,
  • band and antenna selection,
